Bitmain has revealed its new liquid cooled S19 ASIC mining rig, the Antminer S19 XP Hydro. The company has only just recently announced the Antminer S19 Pro+ Hydro, its previous liquid cooled ASIC miner. This newest model will now achieve a whopping 255 TH/s hashrate, 28% more than the S19 Pro+ Hydro’s 198 TH/s, and 82% more than the base S19 XP model’s 140 TH/s.
The newest hydro cooled unit will also be Bitmain’s most efficient to date, with an efficiency rating of 20.8 J/TH and a power consumption of 5304W. In comparison, the S19 Pro+ Hydro is rated at 27.5 J/TH with a power consumption of 5445W, while the S19 XP sits at 21.5 J/TH and 3010W. These numbers also make the S19 XP Hydro more than twice as powerful as the base S19 Pro model.
Miners need as much computing power as they can get in order to maximize their mining profits, as earning Bitcoin will only get more difficult, so this announcement comes at the perfect time as the BTC mining difficulty has reached a new all-time high.
More powerful hardware in turn runs at higher temperatures, hence why Bitmain has once again gone with a liquid cooled solution in order to help keep S19 XP Hydro temperatures in check, preventing overheating and ensuring peak performance at all times.
